GLOSSARY
Audit trail
What is audit trail?
An audit trail is a chronological record of every action taken on a record: who did it, what changed, the value before and after, and when. In order processing, it covers edits, approvals, syncs to the ERP, deletions and catalogue changes.
An audit trail shows exactly how any order or receipt reached its final state. It attributes every change to a named user rather than to a shared login.
Why it matters
When a customer disputes an invoice or finance questions a receipt, the audit trail answers without anyone relying on memory. It also shows where work is being done, and supports internal controls and external audits.
How Weeva handles it
Weeva records every field edit with the value before and after, the user and the time. Approvals, syncs, deletions and catalogue changes are audited, originals are kept against each order, and the audit log can be exported for finance and audit.
Analytics and Audit TrailLive order dashboards, plain-language questions and a per-user audit log.
